I’ve spent more than a decade exploring the world as The Five Foot Traveler and have traveled to 118 countries, visiting all seven continents twice. Along the way, I’ve crossed the Northwest Passage by expedition ship, trekked with mountain gorillas in Uganda, road-tripped across Mongolia, and polar plunged in Antarctica. As a professional photographer, I’m particularly drawn to destinations that combine dramatic landscapes, rich culture, and incredible wildlife encounters.
With over 13 years of experience, I’ve partnered with destinations, luxury hotels, cruise lines, and travel brands across the globe while sharing stories from some of the world’s most remarkable places. I’m recognized by Forbes as a “Game Changer of the Travel Industry,” and by MSN as one of the “Top 5 Travel Experts.”
Today, I’m the Director of Content at Rate Travel Club. In practice, that means I’ve been to these places, I know what makes them worth visiting, and I write about them the way I’d talk to a friend deciding where to book.

Won’t Forget
“Being on the 100th passenger ships in history to complete the full Northwest Passage, from Greenland to Nome through the Canadian High Arctic, on a 28-day expedition. Traveling through one of the world’s most remote and least-visited regions, while following the legendary route sought by early explorers, remains one of the most extraordinary experiences of my career.”
