Five-Night National Parks Road Trip

Trade Phoenix’s desert heat for five nights of red-rock canyons, towering cliffs, and trails that lead to some of the Southwest’s most jaw-dropping views. By the time you roll into the neon glow of Las Vegas, you’ll have hiked from pine forests to slot canyons and earned every second of the finish line.

Drive North from Phoenix on night one to Flagstaff, then hike the Humphreys Peak or Fatman’s Loop trails before dinner to acclimate to the elevation. On night two, head to the Grand Canyon South Rim, where you can catch sunset along the Rim Trail and walk the first mile or two of Bright Angel Trail the next morning. Spend night three in Page, Arizona, hiking the Horseshoe Bend overlook trail and exploring Antelope Canyon on a guided tour. Continue to Springdale, Utah, for night four and tackle Zion’s Riverside Walk and the Narrows (water-level permitting), or the Canyon Overlook Trail if conditions are rough. Use night five in Zion or nearby St. George to hike Emerald Pools, then rest up and enjoy the red-rock scenery one last time. On the final morning, make the two-hour drive to Las Vegas, stopping at Valley of Fire State Park for a short hike along the Fire Wave trail if you have time.

“The hotel our travel designer recommended was one we never would have chosen on our own, and it ended up shaping our entire trip. We’re thrilled!”
